  • Bi-Cultural Caregiving for Families from India (0-5y) Separating

    This is a separating class (child and parent together and apart). We’d like to welcome families from India who have newly arrived to Minnesota! Our class provides families with a space to connect and share with each other their experiences and ideas on parenting. Together with our ECFE teacher, you and your child will have the opportunity to play and learn in an enriching early childhood classroom that centers your unique experiences. A limited number of Infants 0-4 months are welcome to stay with parents during discussion time. Please enroll your young infant only in the Sibling Care option. NOTE: These young infants will remain with the parents during discussion time. ECFE classes are priced on a sliding fee schedule based on family income. Please choose the fee that best fits your family budget. A 10% surcharge will be applied to fees for Non-Minneapolis residents.

  • Bi-Cultural Caregiving for Families from India (Birth to Kindergarten Enrollment) Separating

    This is a separating class (child and parent spend time together and apart). An opportunity to provide a culturally and linguistically specific ECFE experience to families from India: Parent educator will facilitate discussion using a bi-cultural lens Parents will share Indian parenting practices focusing on parenting strategies to raise a child while navigating a new and unfamiliar culture Parents will discuss challenges of balancing two cultures with the goal of raising a securely bi-cultural child Parent Educator speaks Hindi, Urdu and Konkani and will help parents use their common language to create a successful multilingual group environment A limited number of Infants 0-4 months are welcome to stay with parents during discussion time.
